Berba back to Spurs, Muntari to Hull, United want Mata and Cabella agrees Newcastle move, plus other rumours...
Tottenham Chairman Daniel Levy is keen to bring Dimitar Berbatov back to White Hart Lane on a short term deal.
Why it will happen: Tottenham need reinforcements in attack given the sale of Jermain Defoe to Toronto FC, while Berbatov, who scored 46 goals in 102 games for Spurs, is available for a cut-price £2million.
Why it won’t happen: Manager Tim Sherwood isn’t keen on signing Berbatov, whose arrival could unsettle in-form Emmanuel Adebayor. Meanwhile, with the Bulgarian star now 32, signing the former hero could be seen as a backwards step.
