Transfer News Today: Real Madrid Line Up Manchester City Forward

Forum Chatter

Real Madrid are considering a move to bring Alvaro Negredo back to Spain just a year after he moved to the Etihad Stadium from Sevilla.

Negredo, who left Real for Sevilla in 2009, is believed to be homesick after enduring a poor latter half of last season, and he could be set to move to the Bernabeu to replace young forward Alvaro Morata, who is a target for Juventus.

European Champions Real are the 5.00 joint-favourites to win the Chmapions League again this season.

Tabloid Gossip

Former England defender Joleon Lescott has become disillusioned with life at West Bromwich Albion just four weeks after joining the club.

The former Everton and Manchester City man believes that promises have been broken over players that he’d been told the Baggies would sign, with new manager Alan Irvine struggling to deliver a variety of his targets.

West Brom are 3.75 to be relegated this season.

Sunderland are set to sign Fabio Borini on a permanent deal from Liverpool after agreeing a deal which could rise to £14m with add-ons.

The Italian impressed on loan on Wearside last season, and his switch is set to free up funds for the Reds to complete a move for French forward Loic Remy.

Gus Poyet’s Black Cats are 4.00 to finish in the top 10 this season.

Signed, Sealed, Delivered

One move which could placate Lescott, however, is the club record deal that West Brom have completed for the Nigeria international forward Brown Ideye, who joins the Baggies for around £10m from Dynamo Kiev.

Ideye has scored five goals in 23 appearances for his country, but the 25-year-old wasn’t part of the squad at the summer’s World Cup.

West Brom are 4.50 to finish in the top 10 in 2014/15.
