Moyes scouts Koke, United accept Van Persie bid, Chelsea want Draxler/De Bruyne swap, Monaco close in on Di Maria...
Manchester United have again scouted Atletico Madrid star Koke – but this time David Moyes himself was in attendance for Atletico’s Champions League match against Porto.
Why it will happen: Koke will be impressed that Moyes flew out especially to watch him. United’s interest is no secret.
Why it won’t happen: Barca are lurking and could yet pip United to their man.
Tabloid speculation I
Manchester United will accept a £37million offer from Barcelona for striker Robin van Persie.
Why it will happen: Van Persie has struggled to replicate last season’s form and has reportedly already handed in a transfer request.
Why it won’t happen: £37million is a huge fee for a 30-year-old, but United will fight to keep him.
Tabloid speculation II
Chelsea want to land German playmaker Julian Draxler, and are willing to send Kevin de Bruyne to Schalke in order to land the 22-year-old star.
Why it will happen: De Bruyne, who has struggled to impose himself at Chelsea, is the perfect make-weight for this deal to happen.
Why it won’t happen: With Oscar, Mata and Hazard already fighting for a place, is Chelsea the right career move for Draxler?
Angel di Maria is edging ever closer to a January move to Monaco, with a £30million price seemingly agreed with Real Madrid.
Why it will happen: Di Maria has played less games since the arrival of Gareth Bale and is desperate to get regular game time ahead of the World Cup.
Why it won’t happen: Monaco is a significant step down from Madrid, and Di Maria may be using the French club in an attempt to push for a move to England, where there is interest in him.
