It's not been a great start to week seven of the 2013 ATP World Tour and Viktor Troicki was unable to get things done at an attractive price on Wednesday.
The bet on Troicki at over 5.0 was a risk worth taking and if he'd been able to take the opening set tie break against Richard Gasquet, then we could have seen a very different result in Rotterdam.
The Gasman takes on Marcos Baghdatis today and I wouldn't be at all surprised to see the Cypriot come away with the win at around 2.80 in that one.
But another odds-against shot who looks a little overpriced to me is Martin Klizan, who takes on home favourite Igor Sijsling in the night match at around 7.30pm UK time this evening.
Sijsling looks very short at 1.55 considering how slow these Rotterdam courts are and he'll have to serve incredibly well to get the better of Klizan on this pudding of a surface.
Klizan hasn't been in great form lately and he's had a few niggling injuries, but surely Sijsling's price is based on his win over Jo-Wilfried Tsonga. He's not consistent enough yet to be rated as such a solid favourite today.
The Slovak has been on a poor run since winning St Petersburg on a similarly lifeless indoor hard surface at the end of last year. He clearly enjoys these conditions and had a good win over Paul Henri Mathieu in round one.
Klizan controversially (in Lukas Lacko's eyes at least) skipped Davis Cup duty and instead played Zagreb, losing to eventual semi finalist Robin Haase. Yet he's shown enough signs to me that he's coming back towards good form and he shouldn't really be a 2.40 shot against a player of Sijsling's average ability.
It could well be a three set grind, but the value here lies with Klizan.
Best Bet: Back Klizan to beat Sijsling at 2.40
