Andy Murray v Michael Llodra
Defending champion Murray is a force to be reckoned with in Grand Slams these days, and while Llodra is a tricky opponent to face this early on, there's little doubt that it'll be a straight sets victory for the Brit at odds of 1.02.
There's no longer any of the fallibility that saw Andy fall in the early rounds at five of his first six Flushing Meadows visits, but I expect at least one of the sets to go close against the Frenchman today. With that in mind, over 27.5 games at healthy odds of 1.87 is a nice bet.
Bet of the day
Today's top pick is a fourfold multiple in the women's draw. At this stage in a Grand Slam tournament there are a lot of one-sided affairs, so the best option is often to pick a few bankers and bet them together.
Today, I say back both Williams sisters, Laura Robson and Agnieska Radwanska to all progress at combined odds of 2.01. That's better than evens - you can't argue with that!
