He may no longer be the force he was, but it was still a huge surprise to see Roger Federer knocked out.
He was hitting the ball very well and, while there’s no shame in losing to a very good and experienced player like Tommy Robredo, I was not expecting Federer to bow out so early.
As fantastic a result as that was for Robredo, I cannot see him repeating that achievement against an in-form Rafael Nadal tonight.
Despite his injury problems and the slip-up at Wimbledon that followed, Nadal’s game is improving all the time and he should beat Robredo with plenty to spare. Nadal’s game is quite similar to Robredo’s but ten times better, and I cannot see Robredo even winning a set there.
Nadal is too short to back at 1.04 in this match, but for me he's in good shape to finish the match in under 132.5 minutes and that’s a bet I’d certain tip.
Back Nadal to beat Robredo in under 132.5 minutes at 1.87.
