Canada 1.30 Draw 6.30 Slovakia 7.00
After meeting on the first day of the competition, Canada and Slovakia face off again today but in much higher pressure circumstances. The Canadians came out on top that time and went on to top Group A with only one overtime loss marking their record.
Slovakia held off France in one of the games of the tournament so far to earn their place in the quarters and have shown they can do more than just compete with the bigger nations.
Whilst you would expect Canada to move on to the semis the odds on a Slovakia win are somewhat tempting considering how close this game is likely to be on the evidence of the 3-2 scoreline 2 weeks ago.
Russia 1.16 Draw 8.50 Norway 11.50
The only team unbeaten through that group stage were Russia, who are now favourites to lift the trophy at 3.25, deservedly so in my opinion seeing as they have only conceded 8 goals so far along with their hugely talented attacking abilities.
Whatever happens with Norway they will head home hugely satisfied, it's not a major surprise they have made it this far but their performances have been very impressive indeed.
It was relatively early in the tournament when these two met and both teams have developed in that short period of time since, but I can't see Russia lowering their guard enough for Norway to prevail.
USA 2.35 Draw 4.40 Finland 2.40
Their unexpected 5-0 win over the co-hosts during the round robin sees the USA instilled as ever so slight favourites for what could be an engrossing matchup. The US weren't fancied to make a massive impact upon these Championships but after defeating both Canada and Finland in the groups it'll be interesting to see whether they can do it in a knockout game.
Finland are still recovering from that loss but have all the tools to step up and push for a medal. Just as in the group they will have huge home support for this one and will look to make it count, I fancy them to nick this one.
Sweden 1.72 draw 4.40 Czech Republic 3.85 Today's schedule concludes with another intriguing game in prospect, Sweden campaign to this point was marred by 20 minutes of madness again Russia but aside from that they've looked good to challenge for a medal.
The Czechs will be looking to make more of an impression than in their 4-1 loss to their hosts early on in the group. Since then they have been joined by some important players and represent more of an attacking force. This will be closer than the odds suggest but I expect Sweden to edge it.
