NBA Betting: Brooklyn to Edge Knicks in Battle of New York

Brooklyn Nets vs New York Knicks (BET and STREAM LIVE on Unibet TV from 00.05 GMT)

There are bragging rights on the line tonight in the Big Apple. Loser gets to be the best team in the city. The winner … well, they still remain distinctly mediocre.
This wasn’t quite what we expected from the New York Knicks and the Brooklyn Nets at the start of the NBA season, but with just eight wins between them and a whole lot of heat on their respective backs, any victory will do right now.
Within the league, there’s one word coming up when either is discussed: mess. And for Brooklyn head coach Jason Kidd, it’s time to deliver after ruthlessly axing highly-paid assistant Lawrence Frank and assuming total control of the team. But with Deron Williams and Paul Pierce out for at least one more week, major short-term will be hard to achieve.
His only saving grace is that the Knicks arrive at the Barclay’s Center as, in the words of Carmelo Anthony, “the laughing stock of the league”. New York has lost nine straight and like their rivals, they’re very unproductive outside the paint, passing up easy shots and over-relying on Carmelo Anthony for any semblance of an offensive spark.
Everything points to a brutal tough contest with Brooklyn best value at -1.5 on the handicap at 2.02 but expect this to stay under the total points line of 190.5.

Chicago Bulls vs Miami Heat (BET and STREAM LIVE on Unibet Tv from 02.35 GMT)
The Chicago Bulls have had a habit of providing the Miami Heat with problems in recent years but the champions will expect victory when they come to the Windy City on Thursday.

The Bulls have lost four out of five, including two losses where they gave up over 120 points. While Miami had won nine straight until their shock defeat to Detroit on Wednesday. With or without Dwyane Wade, back them on the -4.5 handicap at 1.83.
There’s also a special bet on the Heat to play more than 100 games this season. That would see them reach the Eastern Conference Finals at least and probably go beyond – and with the East so weak, that’s worth a punt at 2.35.
Best bet: Take Brooklyn over New York on the handicap at 2.02.
