NBA Betting: Crunch Time in The Play-Offs

Lakers v Nuggets

The Los Angeles Lakers have been unable to truly dominate the Denver Nuggets but that hasn’t stopped them from moving to the brink of a place in the Western Conference semi-finals. With Ramon Sessions grabbing an increased role, and Kobe Bryant and Andrew Bynum reliably effective on their home floor, it would take a brave man to bet against the Lakers from clinching. That’s why they’re 1.38 favourites here. But there’s more value in the handicap where Denver are +6 at 1.91.

Bulls v 76ers

Out East, the Chicago Bulls could become only the fifth No. 1 seed to crash out in the opening round of the play-offs to the team seeded eighth. And with Joakim Noah almost certain to join Derrick Rose as a spectator, the Philadelphia 76ers sniff blood with Jrue Holiday on a roll. They’re a generous 2.80 to win in regulation. A better bet is the total points line of 171.5 points at 1.91, with three of the four games so far going over that tally.

Pacers v Magic

The Stan van Gundy era at the helm of the Orlando Magic looks likely to come to an end in Indianapolis as his side tries to avoid a seemingly inevitable exit at the hands of the Pacers. At least, his players have backed him to the end and will go down with some fight as Dwight Howard watches from afar. Indiana were terrible in the fourth quarter on Saturday and they needed overtime before edging a 101-99 win. You’d expect them to make the necessary adjustments and although the Magic are priced at 6.40, take the Pacers to stroll onward.

Hawks v Celtics

The Boston Celtics take a 3-1 lead back to Atlanta for Game 5 of their series with the Hawks. Even with Al Horford making a surprise return, Boston were utterly dominant in their 101-79 victory on Sunday. Back them at 2.10 to close out and go under the line of 173.0 points at 1.91.

Bet of the Day: Take Boston to beat Atlanta at 2.10.
