Cleveland Cavaliers - Charlotte Bobcats
Having been such a poor team for many years it almost feels wrong to want to back the Charlotte Bobcats, but the off-season acquisition of Al Jefferson and the improved play from Kemba Walker have given this franchise a little bit of respectability.
The Bobcats can confirm their play-off place this weekend if they can win at the Cleveland Cavaliers this evening and the Knicks lose at Miami Heat on Sunday.
The Cavaliers have been fighting for a play-off spot themselves but whatever they've done this season, it just hasn't worked out. With only five games left in their season you could say that while mathematically there's still hope, realistically it's all over for Cleveland.
Kyrie Irving and Luol Deng both need to have big games this evening if the Cavaliers are to push their playoff bid into the final week of the season but against the Bobcats, both players have been disappointing.
Irving has only been back for a couple of games after missing two weeks due to injury and will have to go up against Walker, a player that the Cavs' star has struggled against.
It should be close, but consider the Bobcats to win at 2.25. If that doesn't appeal, go under on the 195.5 combined points total, available for 1.88.
Washington Wizards - Chicago Bulls
Fresh off their season series sweep of the New York Knicks last night, the Washington Wizards head home to take on Chicago Bulls in what could be a preview of the first round of the play-offs.
For that reason alone, this game is worthy of attention and the Bulls need to make a statement against the Wizards because Washington have had the better of the head-to-head in the last couple of years.
While you can't pay too much attention to games played between teams in the regular season, you get the feeling that Washington would fancy their chances of beating Chicago in a seven-game series.
Chicago are due a win at Washington so take the 1.95 for the Bulls to win. However, the Wizards are likely to start the stronger team, so go for Washington to win the race to 10 points, yours for 1.90.
Best Bet: Cleveland Cavaliers and Charlotte Bobcats to combine for under 195.5 points at 1.88.
