Milwaukee Bucks 3.75, New Orleans Pelicans 1.28 – BET and STREAM live on Unibet TV from 01.05 GMT
The New Orleans Pelicans are the hosts of the forthcoming NBA All Star Weekend but they’ll want to put on a stellar show on the road on Wednesday when they visit the hapless Milwaukee Bucks.
There’s a feeling that, despite the absence of injured Jrue Holiday, the Pelicans should be better than 22-29 this season. They’re being out-scored 99.6-101.3 on average, a poor return, and even a 7-3 stretch during the past month hasn’t hinted at a post-season run.
New Orleans are -6.5 on the handicap at 1.83 to defeat the Bucks and although the worst team in the NBA are easy pickings for anybody, they’ve continued to show some fight. Despite just two wins in their last 20, their lop-sided loss to Boston on Tuesday was a rare blowout.
However they’ll be without Larry Sanders for a week and with a lack of protection in the paint, it should be easy pickings for All Star-bound Anthony Davis who’s already averaging 20.7 points and 10.3 rebounds. Milwaukee just can’t catch a break.
Minnesota Timberwolves 1.40, Denver Nuggets 2.95 - BET and STREAM live on Unibet TV from 01.05 GMT
Two slumping sides square off when the Minnesota Timberwolves, losers of four straight, host the Denver Nuggets, who have dropped three in a row.
Injuries are hurting the T-Wolves, who are still without Kevin Martin and Nik Pekovic and they put up only 89 points in this week’s rout at the hands of Houston.
Yet Denver, who are a huge 3.35 for victory, has been a defensive disaster lately, shipping at least 100 points in eight straight games. It’s worth a look at going over 214.5 total points at 2.40 as two wounded fighters punch away.
Best bet: Back New Orleans at -6.5 on the handicap at 1.83 over Milwaukee.
