New York Knicks 1.40, Cleveland Cavaliers 2.95 (BET and STREAM live on Unibet TV from 01.05 GMT)
It’s been a season of crushing disappointment for the Cleveland Cavaliers. High expectations, low accomplishment and the very real prospect that they will again miss out on the NBA Playoffs.
Enough trauma that general manager Chris Grant emerged this week to publically flog the players for “a lack of effort”. No wonder after just one win in their last five, which were all at home.
Now, it’s back the road on Thursday for the Cavs who are just 5-17 on their travels. And it’s a bad time to face the New York Knicks, who have won three straight, while averaging 106.3 per game.
Much of that has been down to Carmelo Anthony’s current tear but also more consistency shooting, particularly from the reawoken JR Smith.
Kyrie Irving scored 37 when Cleveland beat the Knicks 109-94 in December but his inconsistent defence is a big reason why his team are giving up 101.3 per night.
There seems to be a real danger that the Cavaliers are going to combust over the second half of the campaign, unless they can quickly turn things around.
And in their present mood, there’s a tempting offer on New York on the handicap of -12.5 at 3.80 with a total points line of over 201.5 at 2.45.
Golden State Warriors 1.40, LA Clippers 2.95 (BET and STREAM live on Unibet TV from 03.35 GMT)
Christmas brought little cheer for the Los Angeles Clippers when they lost 105-103 to the Golden State Warriors in a game that saw Blake Griffin ejected, along with Draymond Green.
It evened the season series at 1-1 but Round 3 sees LA take in a four-game winning streak that has been spurred by Griffin continuing to step up in the absence of Chris Paul.
Golden State are favoured by -5.5 on the handicap at 1.90. But expect plenty of points with taking over the line of 211.5 available at 1.87.
Best bet: Take New York over Cleveland on the handicap of -12.5 at 3.80.
