Everyone wants to enjoy a landmark birthday, but will the Atlanta Hawks ruin LeBron James’ 30thwhen they host the Cleveland Cavaliers this evening?
This is one of those intriguing games with so much going for it. Cleveland is in a mini-slump and needs to get out of it as soon as possible.
Their title hopes have been all but written off in recent weeks and even coach David Blatt is coming under scrutiny.
In their recent embarrassing home loss to Detroit, the Cavs looked disinterested and out of ideas at both ends of the court and yet, there may be light at the end of the tunnel.
The Hawks’ strong home record (13-3), the return of Jeff Teague from injury and the Cavaliers’ poor form should have you leaning towards a home win this evening, available at 1.61, and rightly so.
But being the elite player he is, James never accepts losing and as it is his birthday, you can almost bank on him finding another gear tonight.
On Lebron’s 25th birthday, he also faced the Hawks and that night went for 48 in a win over Atlanta.
Expect Lebron to will his team to victory this evening, and take the 2.35 on offer for the Cavaliers to beat the Hawks.
One team that the Denver Nuggets enjoying playing is the Los Angeles Lakers and it’s not surprising considering they have won the last seven meetings between the two teams.
Nobody fears the Lakers anymore, not with Kobe Bryant past his best and a long list of injuries that have all but decimated the roster.
The Nuggets are not having a great season either and only have four more wins than Los Angeles, but you still can’t look past them getting their eight straight over Bryant’s team.
It’s 1.29 for a Denver win this evening but with both teams seeing a recent dip in scoring, the Under on 213.5 points at 1.95, looks very tempting.
Best bet: Take the under on 213.5 total points in Nuggets-Lakers at 1.95
Bet on tonight's NBA action.
