Oklahoma City Thunder vs Chicago Bulls (BET and STREAM LIVE on Unibet TV from 01.05 GMT)
Two of the Western Conference powers are in action on Thursday with the Oklahoma City Thunder remaining second favourites at 3.75 to win the West, just behind the San Antonio Spurs at 3.25. But with seven straight victories, OKC have propelled themselves back into the conversation for the NBA’s best team and maintain the only perfect home record at 12-0.
The Thunder will go for a lucky number 13 against the Chicago Bulls and, with Russell Westbrook arguably reaching new highs, it appears like a mismatch in the making. Kevin Durant is putting up a league-high 28.6 points per game and although All Star forward Luol Deng has had prior success in holding him in check, Chicago would seem to have little hope of corralling Westbrook in transition.
The Bulls are still conceding just 93.1 per night but during a stretch of just one wins from their last seven, even their defensive efficiency has slipped back. And over that spell, they’ve scored at a clip of just 80.3 and they come off a tough loss to Houston on Wednesday. Oklahoma City has a tough trip to San Antonio on Saturday so if this becomes the expected blowout, it may see their pace slip in the fourth quarter but they’re well able to cover the handicap of -13.5 at 1.98.
Golden State Warriors vs San Antonio Spurs (BET and STREAM LIVE on Unibet TV from 03.35 GMT)
The Spurs, meanwhile, have a more testing trip to the Golden State Warriors but we’ll likely be denied a match-up between Tony Parker and Steph Curry with the former set to sit out through injury.
San Antonio’s greatest asset is their ability to cover for the absence of their stars and the prospect of a rejuvenated Manu Ginobili filling the void should trouble the Warriors as they try to avenge last month’s 76-74 loss to their rivals in Texas.
However Curry missed that game and with the Spurs on the second night of a back-to-back, look at him and Golden State to shine at -3.5 on the handicap – and for the total points to go over 201.5, available at 1.90.
Best bet: Take over 192.5 total points in Oklahoma City vs Chicago at 1.92
