NBA Betting Preview: Tonight's Playoff Match-Ups

Magic v Pacers

Are the Indiana Pacers for real, or deceptive flatterers? We could find out tonight when they travel to Orlando for Game 3 of their first round play-off series with the Magic. Drawing level with a 93-78 victory at home two days ago, Indiana now have to travel to Florida with their claim to have joined the NBA’s elite under scrutiny. However on Sunday, the Pacers made enough adjustments to limit the threat of Ryan Anderson from long range and asserted themselves in the paint with no Dwight Howard to provide resistance. That’s why Indiana are still 1.65 favourites to win in regulation tonight and are -3 on the handicap.

Grizzlies v Clippers

The Memphis Grizzlies are another side reeling from their abject failure to profit from home advantage in Game 1 of their series with the Los Angeles Clippers. And it’s going to be hard to banish the trauma of blowing a 24-point lead in the fourth quarter as the Clips set a new NBA comeback record. The Grizzlies can’t allow that kind of lapse again on their own floor and they’ve proven resilient all season. They’re favoured by 6.5 points on the handicap but a good bet is to take the over on the points total of 184.5.

Jazz v Spurs

The evening’s other tie sees San Antonio go for a 2-0 lead over the Utah Jazz. It’s hard to go against the Spurs on current form but with the Jazz at a generous +11.5 on the handicap, it’s worth a punt on them to come a little closer.

Bet of the Day: Go over 184.5 total points in Grizzlies – Clippers.
