Miami Heat 1.27 – Indiana Pacers 3.85 (Heat lead 3-2)
Lance Stephenson can blow in the ear of LeBron James all he wants. If the Indiana Pacers can’t win Game 6 of the Eastern Conference Finals on Friday, then he and his team-mates will be swept out of the playoffs while the Miami Heat advance into the NBA Finals.
The attention has all been on the Pacers guard for his antics on and off the court with team president Larry Bird reportedly unimpressed with the way Stephenson has become a distraction, just weeks before the pair sit down to discuss his new contract.
Over the last three games, he has averaged just 10.3 points and is 1.90 to score under 13.5 tonight. But Indiana will likely need a lot more from their eccentric swingman to force a deciding Game 7 on Sunday.
Miami, with home advantage, cannot countenance another showing from James like two days ago when the Finals MVP favourite scored a career-playoff low seven points after being mangled by foul trouble.
That surely can’t be repeated, with James notching 27.3 points in this post-season and the Heat 9-0 on their own floor in potential series-clinchers since 2010.
The NBA’s supreme star is 1.90 to notch over 28.5 here with Miami, who have won the two previous meetings in South Beach by 12, available at 2.48 on the handicap of -10.5.
The Pacers, you sense, grind to a stop here.
Best bet: Go over 190.5 total points in Miami-Indiana at 3.05
