Both the Boston Bruins and Montreal Canadiens were part of the NHL's Original Six teams, and there's plenty of history between them as a result.
It's their first meeting of the season at Bell Centre tonight, and with only one point currently separating them near the top of the East, the rivalry is bubbling away nicely. Even as the road team, the Bruins shade the odds at 2.45 but on this season's evidence Montreal can certainly match them, take the Canadiens at 2.55.
Anaheim have been an exciting team to watch all season and a win tonight against the Colorado Avalanche would see them overhaul San Jose to lead the Pacific. Monday's win over the Sharks was hugely impressive for the Ducks as they had to grind it out, previously it had been all about their offense. Injury and consistency issues are mounting for the Avs a, they could be missing their top defensive pairing tonight as Erik Johnson is a doubt to go along with Ryan Wilson already being ruled out. As one of the form teams in the League against one that can't seem to find a groove I have to go for a Ducks win at 2.60.
Closing out tonight in Edmonton, the Oilers continue to be much improved and are at least giving themselves a chance of making the playoffs for the first time since 2006. All their young superstars together on the powerplay has looked particularly impressive and a frightening prospect for the future.
Dallas got past Colorado thanks to a big contribution from one of their main guys Jamie Benn, look for him to be a factor again. That was a vital win amongst a two week stretch where they will mainly be playing away from the American Airlines Center. A tough call here, I'll take Edmonton based on their special teams play at 2.35.
Best Bet: Anaheim Ducks to win at 2.60
