NHL Betting: The Chicago Blackhawks will fly past the Sharks

For the first time since the Eastern Conference finals last May, the New York Rangers and New Jersey Devils face-off with plenty of scores to be settled.

New Jersey defeated New York in six games and it has been the Devils who have began this season in better form too.

The Rangers will cross the Hudson River without their captain Ryan Callahan, who is side-lined and a mixed sequence of results behind them. The slight favourites New Jersey are good value here at 2.50. It should be a low scorer.

LA are still getting the benefit of the doubt in the odds, despite a less than encouraging start to the season.

Certainly their confidence as a team comes from the performances of Jonathan Quick in net and they are just not scoring enough to offset their average defensive performances.

Against the Blue Jackets in Columbus tonight they start at 2.20, with their opponents back at 2.90. Both these teams are struggling but with the Kings so far off last season's play-off form, I think that's good value on a win for the Jackets

Elsewhere in the West is a battle between San Jose and Chicago. So far they are the top two teams in the Conference and indeed the league.

It’s another big game for the Sharks, after a tight loss to rivals Anaheim last night.Todd McLellan faces a challenge to pick his side up after they led that game 1-0 through two periods, only to lose it in the third.

Chicago are the one team left without a loss in regulation play and they definitely have the edge here in terms of momentum and rest. take a Hawks win including overtime/shootout at 2.04

Best Bet: Chicago Blackhawks to win including overtime at 2.04
