NHL Betting: Columbus Blue Jackets Will Give Devils a Fright

There will be wins for the Columbus Blue Jackets and New York Rangers in the NHL tonight, writes Unibet ice hockey expert Mike Fuller...

New Jersey Devils 2.25, the Tie 3.75, Columbus Blue Jackets 2.80 – BET and WATCH live on Unibet TV from 00.05 GMT

After already cranking up their form in January I think Columbus are in great shape to make a run during the final 20+ games.

This is the healthiest their roster has been all season and it'll surely see their offence become more dynamic. Todd Richards can finally ice Nathan Horton and Marian Gaborik together for the first time to form a potentially fearsome top line, if they continue to get strong secondary scoring from the likes of Cam Atkinson (who already has two game winning goals v. the Devils), Nick Foligno and also their defencemen their already 7th best goals per game average could well rise.

There's also the opportunity to seal a hugely valuable season sweep of a divisional opponents, the Devils would dearly love to have some of that firepower as they rank 27th in that same category. They had to watch the Jackets surge beyond them in the standings courtesy of their own run of two victories from seven, admittedly they've been good at keeping games tight but not at winning them once past regulation.

Columbus definitely seem to enjoy this matchup and at 2.80 look solid value to get it done over NJ for a fourth time.

New York Rangers 2.75, The Tie 3.70, Chicago Blackhawks 2.30 - BET and WATCH live on Unibet TV from 00.05 GMT

The Rangers won 12 of their last 15 games before the season intermission but that wasn't enough to earn them any major breathing room in a tight Metro Division.

Something drastic would have to occur for Chicago to miss out on this point as they hold a 20 point gap to 9th, a high seeding and home ice advantage offers them plenty of incentive to continue pushing though seeing games out was becoming an issue as their attack cooled off.

Plenty of debate has been had over how the added stresses of the Olympics will hurt those involved and no club sent more than the Blackhawks 10 to Sochi, that party included most of their star names although goalie Corey Crawford didn't make the trip which could be valuable.

Still I think there's a opening for the Rangers here and they're way out at 2.75 despite being one of a select few clubs to beat Chicago at home in regulation already this year.

Best Bet: Columbus Blue Jackets to win at 2.80.
