There's 11 games in the NHL tonight with the majority of clubs playing their penultimate game of the regular season.
Only the Winnipeg Jets are playing potentially their final match. Whether they reach the play-offs is not yet certain, but they have to get at least a point tonight against Montreal.
The Jets are also relying on the New York Rangers and Ottawa failing to win any of their remaining games. I'm sure they'd rather give themselves an agonising watch from the sidelines than be officially eliminated.
Montreal remain fixed in a duel for their division, although judging from recent results neither them or Boston seem to want to win it. As it is a much more significant game for Winnipeg, take the Jets to stay alive at 2.45.
Those aforementioned New York Rangers are in Carolina tonight. Two points will be enough to confirm their post-season presence once again.
It should still be considered a disappointing year for the Rangers. They have been a long way off the team they were last year.
Their form away from Madison Square Garden is patchy at best. They really should have clinched things at Florida on Tuesday but put in an edgy performance.
Only pride is at stake for the Hurricanes, though that's clearly been motivation enough in their last two outings. I'm going with Carolina here, including overtime, at 2.30.
The Columbus Blue Jackets versus the Dallas Stars features two teams still in with a chance in the West, though Columbus' prospects seem much more tangible with just a point to make up.
This is the last of a six game road trip for the Jackets from which they've taken eight points up to now. Its been an impressive performance on a tough run in.
In contrast, the Stars only managed a point from their last four away assignments. I think their play-off dreams now live more in more hope than expectation.
Columbus' Sergei Bobrovsky gets my vote for goalie of the year. He's been the key component in their transformation from basement club to contenders. Bobrovsky will have a big say tonight too, so back the Blue Jackets at 2.75.
Best Bet: Columbus Blue Jackets to beat the Dallas Stars at 2.75
