Phoenix finally gained a foothold in the Western Conference finals: a win in LA took the series to 3-1 overall. It took a shutout performance from goalie Mike Smith and a couple of goals from captain Shane Doan, but they are on the board at last. There's still a very long way to go if they want to compete for the Stanley Cup for the first time, however. You can get 9.00 on them staging a remarkable comeback.
Although they dropped three straight games, Smith has still played well in net for them, under the barrages being thrown at him by the Kings. It'll be good to see him and Jonathan Quick go at it in what will probably be the tightest game of the series so far.
One loss is unlikely to shake the belief in LA, where the situation resembles that of their first round series against the Canucks. On that occasion, they travelled to Vancouver and scrapped out an overtime win to see it through. Not a lot needs to change for them, considering they still dominated the shot totals in Game 4.
Now that we're back in Arizona, the odds to win tonight are much more balanced. The Kings are still favourites at 2.35 and despite Phoenix pulling one back I expect them to extend their winning streak on the road. It'll be closer than the first two games in the Jobing.com Arena, but for me 2.75 isn't good value on the Coyotes stepping up again.
Best Bet: Los Angeles Kings to win including overtime at 1.76.
