NHL Betting: Danger for Rangers against the Senators

Buffalo have done just about enough to keep their season alive in the last couple of weeks. It's almost a must win fixture tonight against the Florida Panthers, who are now pretty much out of the play-off picture.

Panthers fans have witnessed just two home wins in February and March combined, and it looks like they'll be suffering a bit more before the season is out.

Of course they'd never admit to it, but they should now start turning their attention towards the draft and how they can progress for future seasons. Buffalo have more to play for and have to take points from these games if their play-off challenge is serious. Back the Sabres at 2.50.

It’s an intriguing game on the cards at Scotiabank Place for many reasons, with an in form Ottawa hosting an edgy New York Rangers.

The Rangers are in the play-off places at the moment, but on the whole remain unconvincing. Whilst being strong enough defensively to beat anyone they still also aren't scoring enough goals.

Ottawa have been better than them in both areas and are excelling at home, while beating the teams below them in the standings.

Priced at 2.50 and with two wins over the Rangers under their belts already this season, I certainly think the Senators are worth taking on. Add in fewer than 5.5 total goals at 1.56 too.

St Louis and Los Angeles are closely matched in 6th and 7th place respectively in the West. Both are far from safe from dropping out of the top eight and this game could have big implications.

St Louis were hugely disappointing in their latest two losses. The Blues mustered plenty of shots in both games but were unable to capitalise on enough of their opportunities and paid the price.

LA have the momentum after beating Chicago and the Kings are excellent value to complete a season sweep of the St Louis Blues at 2.85.

Best Bet: Ottawa Senators to win at 2.50
