Which version of the Philadelphia Flyers will turn up against Toronto tonight? Philly have had some big results this month whilst throwing in the occasional slack performance which leads you to believe they are not quite there yet. Yet even without being anywhere near their best they are well in the play-off race and that will worry the sides around them. James van Riemsdyk was traded from Philadelphia to Toronto in the off-season and it's worked out extremely well: he has proved a point in his last ten games and leads the team in goals. After impressing on the road earlier in the season the Leafs have only taken one of the last four. I think 2.15 is good enough value to back the Flyers for this one.
Nashville and Dallas are just two points and two places apart in the West, with each club viewing their match-up as a chance to solidify a play-off charge. The Predators are rocking a bit, having picked up just one win in five and getting shut out by Vancouver and Detroit in their most recent outings. Dallas are playing well right now and it's surprising they are out at 3.20 - a tempting option considering the form of their opponents. I just have the suspicion that Nashville will perk up and hold out for a much needed victory at 2.05 and as always with the Predators, look for a low scoring game.
LA would seem to be finally hitting their stride and the high-tempo, high-pressure style that made them so dominant in the 2012 play-offs was much more evident in their last three games. Before getting too carried away though, bear in mind though the teams vanquished on that streak are all placed below them in the standings. Anaheim coach Bruce Boudreau chose to rotate his goalies last night, knowing the Kings lay in wait today. It very nearly backfired, so unbeaten phenomenon Viktor Fasth will be back in net and his influence is not to be underestimated. That also means the goalie battle will be Fasth versus Quick - one for the pun fan. Anaheim have won six in a row now but are way out at 3.05. Definitely take that on.
Best bet: Anaheim Ducks to win at 3.05
