NHL Betting: Flying Ducks To Make It Four On The Bounce

Toronto Maple Leafs vs LA Kings

Running on plenty of momentum, the LA Kings jump from Montreal to Toronto as they look to pile on the misery for the Maple Leafs at Air Canada Centre.

Two wins from six at home isn't great, and even more disconcerting has been the manner of Toronto’s defeats. Bad penalty killing along with bad discipline rarely makes for a solid combination and it's one that Toronto are guilty of. These are two of the most penalised clubs, and in very similar time spent shorthanded the Kings have allowed 17 PP goals to the Leafs' 28.

Not too long ago this might have been a tight defensive clash, but in the last eight games Toronto are averaging around four goals against. That's simply paying the price for putting too much work on their goalies. Meanwhile the Kings evidently remain as resolute as ever - take LA with a -1.5 handicap at 3.10.

Anaheim Ducks vs Minnesota Wild

As expected, the Anaheim Ducks brushed through a clash with the New York Islanders on Monday and the Minnesota Wild are the latest team to challenge the Ducks' enviable success at home, where they are still yet to lose inside regulation.

Their first matchup back in the opening week went to Anaheim via overtime and, had scheduling not meant Bruce Boudreau's men have spent significantly more time travelling, you could argue that there would be a few more points between them in standings than the current six.

They're resilient too; no team has a better success rate when conceding the first goal than the Ducks and they are one of very few sides bucking the overall trend. This is exactly what happened on Monday night and they were rewarded for not straying from their game plan.

No prizes for guessing the scorers looking sharp as Corey Perry and Zach Parise both netted twice in their last games, the latter also had a pair during the contest in early October. Coming through against both San Jose and Chicago was huge for Minny but they remain one of only four teams in the West with a losing road record, take Anaheim to make it four on the bounce at 2.15.
