Chicago are looking to take a 2-0 lead and full charge of their series versus the Detroit Red Wings tonight.
The Blackhawks were dominant in Game 1 as they took a 4-1 victory. Detroit had clearly been sent out with the mantra to disrupt the Hawks with physicality, but they were simply outplayed and in the end conclusively outshot 42-21.
In the Red Wings' defence they may still have been feeling that the after-effects of racking up so many air miles in the first round. With that excuse now used up, this contest should be a lot more even.
If that proves to be the case under 4.5 total goals at 2.06 is a solid option. Chicago have shown all year they aren't a team to take their foot off the pedal, so back them to win tonight at 1.82.
The San Jose Sharks will be hoping that getting back on home ice at HP Pavilion is going to help them gain a foothold against the Los Angeles Kings.
They only lost twice in regulation at home during the regular season and they could do with bouncing back after Thursday's heartbreaking loss. Two sloppy late penalties allowed the Kings to fire in a brace of powerplay goals during the final two minutes and steal the game.
San Jose can therefore feel a little hard done by to be in this position. Urgency is what they need tonight to force the bounces to go their way.
Goalie Antti Niemi has had a good couple of games, but due to his opposite number Jonathan Quick's heroics, he still needs to find another level.
Much like last year the Kings are just on a roll. It's now six straight wins for them and they are good value for a road victory tonight. Take LA including overtime at 2.04.
Best Bet: LA Kings to win including overtime at 2.04
