NHL Betting: Kings to give St Louis the Blues

Boston are on the verge of knocking out the Toronto Maple Leafs after two hard-fought road wins. One more victory back in their own building is all they need. The games themselves have been frantic and respective goalies Tuukka Rask and James Reimer have been incredibly busy, each facing an average of over 35 shots a game. David Krejci is the forward the Leafs have to stop: the Czech has been directly involved in ten of Boston's 15 goals and netted a hat trick last time out. This Toronto team is tough and resilient so they won't be going quietly. I think they are good value at 2.85 with overtime.

Neither Anaheim nor Detroit have been able to put together consecutive wins up to now, but the latest swing in the Ducks' favour has put the Red Wings in a must-win situation. We've been here before numerous times at Joe Louis Arena, and coach Mike Babcock knows how to get the best out his team at the critical times. Getting back in the dirty areas in front of the net is a must for Detroit; Johan Franzen is a master of causing havoc in the paint and if the Red Wings have success tonight he's a good option to score at 3.35. Anaheim would love to finish this as soon as possible, but at times they've struggled to match Detroit's urgency - that will be vital here. Take a Red Wings victory including OT at 1.75.

The Los Angeles Kings' smash-and-grab win in St Louis on Wednesday has stolen the advantage and the Blues must now do likewise to stay alive. Up until then it seemed this series had Game 7 written all over it, but the Blues weren't clinical enough and it looks like it'll cost them. Both teams are surprisingly unscathed despite the punishing physicality on display. The Blues are going to come out hitting again to apply pressure but LA have adapted to that approach after a being caught in the first few meetings. On the back of three straight wins, momentum is firmly with the Kings. Back LA to win in regulation at 2.15. Only one of the five games has broken six goals, so fewer than 5.5 total goals should be secure at 1.64.

Best bet: Los Angeles Kings to win at 2.15
