NHL Betting: Kings v Coyotes

A place in their first Stanley Cup Finals for 19 years is within reach for the Los Angeles Kings, as they attempt to seal a 4-0 sweep of the Phoenix Coyotes. At the moment they look almost impossible to stop, so it will be interesting to see if they can maintain their form during the Finals.

Their forwards in particular are creating huge amounts of pressure on the opposition with their aggressive approach. The best way to illustrate the dominance of LA's top line throughout the play-offs is to look at their plus minus rating: Dustin Brown and Anze Kopitar are both +12, meaning they have been on the ice for 12 more goals than they have conceded. When you consider that the best rating of any player over the course of the 82-game regular season was +36, it shows just how dominant those two have been.

Phoenix are in a hole: their game has been picked apart of late after such a strong run to get to this stage, and it hasn't been pretty. They managed to keep it close in Game 3 and you can get 12.50 on them turning it around, but on the evidence of the first three games it's not going to happen.

A Phoenix victory tonight at 4.10 has probably the longest odds of any team during this post-season, such is the degree of their inferiority so far. Back an LA win at 1.75.

Best Bet: Los Angeles Kings to win at 1.75.
