NHL Betting: Nashville set to prey on the Red Wings

The Nashville Predators are 2-1 up against the Detroit Red Wings heading in to Game 4 tonight. It was a shock to see Nashville win Game 3 on the road because the Wings are usually so good on home ice but it just shows how balanced these two teams are.

Each match so far has only been decided by a 3-2 scoreline so with a +1.5 start in the handicap betting the Predators are good value at 1.46. There are odds of 16.0 for another 3-2 in favour of hosts Detroit and also Pavel Datsyuk who has been as influential as ever so far is 2.65 to pick up a point.

Another tight series is the one involving Phoenix and Chicago, it is finely poised at 1-1 after the first two games needed overtime to find a winner. The Coyotes really needed to secure wins on home ice as Chicago at the United Center are a very tough proposition, the Blackhawks are 2.10 to get the win.

Florida answered back to their critics when they won Game 2 against the New Jersey Devils; it was a vital win for the Panthers who aren't fancied to win this series. They have done an excellent job containing the Devils star men Ilya Kovalchuk and Zach Parise so far and keeping that up could be the key to Florida progressing to the next round. That being said, a New Jersey win in regulation at 1.95 is the more likely outcome later tonight.

Best Bet: Nashville Predators with +1.5 handicap at 1.46."
