NHL Betting Preview: Better the Devils you know against Philadelphia

The Los Angeles Kings continue to defy the Western Conference seedings, after dispatching the No.1 Vancouver Canucks with relative ease they are now 2-0 up against the second seeded St Louis Blues. They won comfortably on Monday after scoring four first period goals and the Blues had no answer for LA's top forwards who all got in on the act.

It was strange to see the Blues give up so many quick goals but the Kings are so confident at the moment everything is clicking for them. On the plus side for St Louis, top defenseman Alex Pietrangelo looks set to be back from injury and he was a big miss last time out. Having won by more than one goal both times already, you can get odds of 3.55 on LA overturning a -1.5 goal handicap.

Meanwhile, New Jersey also opened up for four goals in the third period against Philadelphia after a low scoring first 40 minutes to take Game Two. Philly had grabbed an early goal but failed to capitalise on it not for the first time in these playoffs, they will be disappointed in the way the game got away from them.

Flyers coach Peter Laviolette will not let his team be that sloppy again and that is why you should expect a close game at the Prudential Center, there are good odds for it to go to overtime. Travis Zajac keeps popping with goals up for the Devils of late and he is 3.20 to score at least once tonight.
