NHL Betting Preview: Coyotes to give St Louis the blues

So the St Louis Blues are out of this year's play-offs and it's the Nashville Predators next on the block as Phoenix look to set up a Western Conference final against LA. A 1-0 win in Music City on Friday moved the Coyotes into a commanding position; they now have three chances to seal a place in the next round.

The fallout from Game 4 for Nashville centred around head coach Barry Trotz's decision to keep talented forwards Alexander Radulov and Andrei Kostitsyn out of the lineup. They were both coming back from slight injuries but it seemed a strange decision when you consider that Radulov is the leading point-getter and Kostitsyn is tied for most goals in the postseason.

Betting for this one starts at 2.45 for Phoenix and 2.65 for Nashville. Goalies Smith and Rinne will be at the centre of the action once again and fewer than 4.5 total goals at 1.80 doesn't seem out of the question.

The two Eastern Conference match-ups currently going on have been much closer. Washington and New York meet again at Madison Square Garden with the series all tied up at 2-2. The Rangers remain favourites to go through at 1.55 thanks to the advantage of home ice in two of the three remaining games.

The Capitals should not be ruled out, though, having matched the Rangers in the gritty areas of the game, and are good value to win tonight at 3.25. New York start at 2.05.

Best Bet: Phoenix Coyotes to win including overtime at 1.85.
