Jeff Carter may not have been hugely consistent since making the move to Los Angeles at the trade deadline, but he did produce his best performance in a Kings uniform on Tuesday when he registered a hat trick to lead his team to a 4-0 win and a 2-0 lead in the series. At the other end, it was almost an easy shutout for goalie Jonathan Quick as LA tightened their grip on the Phoenix Coyotes at both ends of the ice. It's well and truly a bandwagon now as that result made it seven wins on the bounce, along with equalling the all time record for consecutive road wins during the playoffs.
Phoenix will need to find the balance between matching the intensity levels of the Kings without taking too many penalties. They didn't manage it and the amount of time they spent a man down cost them. The stakes have been ramped up even further as going 3-0 down would surely spell elimination but it remains to be seen whether they can dig deep stop the LA juggernaut.
Such has been their domination over the two games that LA are now 1.06 to win the series,it's all going their way at the moment and that extends to this game, back them to extend their winning streak 1.88. Phoenix are way back at 3.65 and in a different situation that would represent excellent value, but all signs point to another win for the Kings.
Best Bet: Los Angeles Kings to win in regulation at 1.88.
