Philadelphia and Washington may both be hot off wins yesterday, but Philly must have a slight advantage ahead of tonight's clash; their game concluded before the Capitals had even taken the ice. Both clubs could still realistically qualify for the post-season with a good run in the coming days. Prior meetings have gone the way of the home side and I think the Flyers are good value at 2.20 to continue that.
Including today, Pacific Division rivals the Dallas Stars and Los Angeles Kings will meet three more times before the season is out. Dallas should be looking forward to it as they have been successful in divisional games. Conveniently, the last opponent of both clubs was Minnesota; measuring off those results puts the Stars slightly ahead as they succeeded where the Kings failed. Two from two against LA this season, Dallas look worth taking on at 2.60.
Currently in the midst of their worst run so far this year are the Boston Bruins, who have lost ground on Montreal. As a result of conceding some late goals it hasn't been a great week for the Buffalo Sabres either. Boston are known to be trying to add to their group of forwards before the trade deadline, having just missed out on Jarome Iginla; some extra scoring wouldn't go amiss with them only managing more than two goals once in this current run. I'm unconvinced on current form the Bruins are worthy of being such big favourites for this one at 2.10, so back Buffalo to spring a surprise for a 3.05 payout.
Best bet: Dallas Stars to win at 2.60
