NHL Betting: Take Chicago to breeze past an off-form Los Angeles

Anaheim-Columbus – BET and STREAM live on Unibet TV from 03.05

What should have been an outstanding January for the Jackets soured slightly during the final week when they lost three matchups with clubs now below them.

Two strong home successes have them back on the horse and they could be an interesting threat to Anaheim's newly apparent fallibility at home.

After not losing in regulation at Honda Center until two weeks ago, the Ducks have dropped two more in similar fashion since. That includes being shutout for the first time this season by Dallas last time out.

An injury to Nick Bonino pins the offensive responsibility back on Anaheim's top line, so expect Todd Richards to focus Brandon Dubinsky up on Ryan Getzlaf all night, with who comes out on top may well deciding this for their team.

No doubt there's been a little drop off in the Ducks' attacking intensity through recent weeks in comparison to the Jackets, who are getting contributions from plenty of different angles.

Whilst Anaheim work out this indifferent spell, the form team Columbus or indeed the tie could well be worth a look out at 3.70 and 4.10 respectively.

Last season's Western Conference finalists are slumping badly, though Chicago's stretch of one win in six is made to look less serious by LA's one in nine.

At least the Blackhawks are picking up bonus points along the way and scoring goals. The Kings have a total of three goals to their name in the last five games.

You can't fault their application and not for the first time they dominated the shot count versus Philadelphia on Friday. It's gone past the point of simple bad luck though, and as has been said before apart from Anze Kopitar everybody could be doing a lot more.

Jeff Carter and Mike Richards have dropped off unacceptably up front but worst of all has to be captain Dustin Brown, who has struggled all season and doesn't have a point in 10 games.

For all the talk Chicago have only gone without a point on the road once since mid-December and if this is their worst run of the campaign that's still very impressive.

It's an easy decision to take them to pile more misery on LA here.
