Washington are out to prove it's not too late to recover from a bad start but to do so may need to produce some big results against the likes of the Boston Bruins. Boston will be a hurt side after bitter foes Montreal ended a six game win streak so should come out strong in the first period. They haven't met the Capitals yet in 2013, but the Bruins are perfect versus teams from the Southeast Division and Washington's style isn't dissimilar so it's a good matchup for them. Add in a superb road record and it's worth back Boston with odds of 2.25.
Philadelphia and the New York Rangers have built up a little momentum ahead of today's clash and as with all Atlantic division rivals, they're not exactly enamoured with each other. It's about time it started coming together for these clubs considering the talent on their respective rosters, you'll still find them amongst the favourites to win the Stanley Cup. Both matches so far produced a 2-1 win for the home team, it's 20.00 for a Rangers win by that scoreline here but I actually think the Flyers are good value to break the pattern at 3.05.
It's difficult to know what to make of both the Vancouver Canucks and San Jose Sharks right now, certainly their records over the last ten games have been distinctly average, however they remain well positioned in the West. After a hot start the Sharks' offense has dropped off dramatically, it's been a month since they last scored more than two goals in regulation, they've manage to offset that to a degree with strong work on the penalty kill. Vancouver's top spot in their division is now being threatened by Minnesota which should spark them up a bit especially at home, take them at 2.15.
Best Bet: Vancouver Canucks to win at 2.15.
